Something as simple as “could we make a beer that tastes like the pineapple at a Brazilian steakhouse?” can create amazing things. This was one of the first beers we made when we opened, and at great request, has made its return.

How It's Made

Canadian two row barley, wheat, and oats are soured with lactobacillus and then hit with a generous portion of pineapple juice. Once we’ve fully fermented we touch it up with some Mexican cinnamon and burnt sugar.

Why Is It Called Lake Arenal?

This beer’s namesake - Lake Arenal - is found in Costa Rica, where 85% of the world’s pineapples come from. Respect.
